Our Story
Since 2000, Universal Pest & Termite has been the trusted name in home protection across Hampton Roads. What started as a dedicated pest control company has evolved into a comprehensive home health provider.
We saw that our customers were dealing with issues that went beyond just pests—damaged insulation, poor air quality, and crawl space moisture. Instead of sending them to multiple different contractors, we built the expertise in-house.
Today, we are known as the "Total Home Health Professionals" of home protection: Universal Pest & Termite, Universal Insulation Doctor, and Universal Duct Cleaning. Three specialized divisions, one standard of excellence.

As a Virginia State Certified pest control professional, Jimmy has dedicated half of his life to helping homeowners protect their homes and families from unwanted pests. For Jimmy, pest control isn't simply a job—it's a career he takes great pride in. His extensive field experience, knowledge, and commitment to doing things the right way have made him a trusted member of the Universal team.
Outside of work, Jimmy is a proud father of three and places a strong emphasis on family and faith.
After nearly a decade with Universal Pest & Termite, Jimmy continues to bring the same experience, professionalism, and personal service to every customer he meets.

Brandon Nikolaisen is a Manager at Universal Pest & Termite, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the home services industry to his leadership role. Having called Hampton Roads home for more than 20 years, Brandon understands the importance of providing dependable, professional service to the families and communities Universal serves.
As a manager, Brandon is committed to supporting his team, maintaining high service standards, and making sure every customer receives the level of care and attention they expect from Universal Pest & Termite.
Coming from a proud military family, Brandon values hard work, dedication, accountability, and service to others—qualities he brings to work every day. Outside of Universal, Brandon is a devoted father of three who enjoys sports, concerts, and, most importantly, spending quality time with his children.
With his industry experience, strong work ethic, and commitment to both his team and customers, Brandon is proud to help lead Universal Pest & Termite in delivering exceptional service throughout Hampton Roads.
